Hell fuckin’ yes! It’s a relief to hear something that doesn’t make my ears bleed for once and Coerced Into Battle has me banging my head and rockin’ out! Their debut album, Enemy Mine, definitely has the effects of Korn, Disturbed and Rob Zombie mixed together and then thrown into the mosh pit to give it a thrashier undertone. The music catches your attention and keeps it, and you won’t want to miss a single song. It’s even got some surprises thrown in to help you take that deep breath before plunging in deeper. If you want to take a roller coaster ride into some deep metal then you definitely want to listen to this. I just have one question! How the fuck did this come out of Oakland???

The band consists of Chris White who rocks vocals and guitar, Raul Castaneda on guitar, Thaddeus Coleman on drums, and bass for the album was performed by Peter Hernandez. The beats and the lyrics get you in the mood to do some total damage on the nearest object while wailing your heart out! So step away from the windows, the computer, and the sound equipment before you listen because you can’t hold them liable for damages!

I always seem to be at my computer when I first hear a band and it was the same this time. I popped in the CD and went on a path of destruction as Chris’ wailing and Thaddeus’ drumming came blaring out of the speakers and I was wrapped in a cocoon of metal madness. "Erase The Mind" got my attention and left me wanting for more! How many of us can relate to the line ‘Building blocks of a soulless empire’? I find this song perfect for the presidential elections this year. Who do you want to sell your soul to? As "Constructing a Demon" came on I realized that I was hooked. It’s like an awesome drug trip you can’t get enough of.

I had to walk away from the computer after "The Addictions Dirge", but I made sure to bring Enemy Mine with me. Probably wasn’t the best idea! My road rage hit over drive as my speedometer needle hit 80 and I fell into the darkness that came with the beat. By the time I hit the Oregon border I had to hit the repeat button and start all over again! The beat, the lyrics, and the sound all together had me begging for more and praying there weren’t any cops around!

So for those of you with road rage, inner demons, and of course those with souls, I have a suggestion: Step away from the stop button!

In true valley girl rating I need to give this a so totally 4.5 out of 5! (Only 'cause I didn’t get a ticket!)
