Hey, it's time for the March installment of the Raginpit Magazine Shred report. One thing before I begin... where the hell are all the punk bands? Come on, you guys, hit me up with some news. All I seem to get is news from the metal scene, and we're here to cover punk too, so send me news/press releases so I can give some love to the punks!

- Stagnant, from the East Bay area of SF, CA has parted ways with their drummer. AJ has decided to leave to pursue personal goals. Veteran drummer Cack has been commissioned to lay down drum tracks on the forthcoming release from the band, who will be heading into Pus Cavern Studios in Sacramento, CA. Former True To Form/Lavabone guitarist Steve Schmidt has joined the band on guitar. They are in pre-production now for the follow-up to their debut CD Unlearning Bad Habits. The band will be playing a show at Slim’s on March 15th with John Riggs (Raze The Stray/Serenity Now) filling in on drums.

- Peter Pallas of AnAkA joins forces with Halo Guitars for a full endorsement deal. The Peter Pallas signature “Hellfire” guitar looks rad. Congrats, dude!

- Due to there being a band named The Bled, the band Bled from CA have had to change their name to Dismal Lapse. You can check the band out on the Underground Alliance tour, on which they will be trekking across the US with Embryonic Devourment and Insidious Decrepancy, which is sponsored by Raginpit Magazine.

- Godsized has parted ways with drummer Andy and are preparing to record a new EP, have filmed a new video, and have some new merch for sale.

- Dreaming Dead, formerly known as Manslaughter, have begun recording their full-length album, entitled Within One. There will be 8 new tracks of heavy shit to bang along to and they are anticipating release in mid-2008.

- Prosthetic Records have announced their newest signing: Antagonist. Their debut album for their new label, entitled Exist, is slated to be released this summer.

- In other Prosthetic news, Withered is hard at work on their next album, Folie Circulaire, which will be the band’s debut on Prosthetic Records. The new album will feature a guest vocal performance from Barney of Napalm Death fame.

- Slayer has joined forces with O’neal (MX and BMX accessories) to produce a limited edition helmet featuring Slayer artwork. They are available at Cycle Gear locations beginning Feb. 25th and once they’re gone, that’s it. You better go grab one while they’re available.

- Arsis will be releasing a new album entitled We Are The Nightmare, as a follow-up to their 2006 release United in Regret on Nuclear Blast Records, shooting for an April 15th release date. Once finished on their current tour with Exodus, Arsis will be heading back out on the road to promote the new album with Skeletonwitch. Go check their site for a stop near you and experience the thrash assault!

- Beneath The Massacre has just completed their European tour with Despised Icon and Misery Index, and are planning on heading back out for a headlining US tour this spring with See You Next Tuesday, Born of Osiris and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza.

- Prog band 3 will be joining Dream Theater, Opeth and Between The Buried And Me for the Progressive Nation tour, beginning May 2nd in Los Angeles, CA and winding up in Tampa Bay, FL in June. 3 will be on tour to support their latest release entitled The End Is Begun.

- Neuraxis has begun tracking for their 5th studio album, which will be the first studio album to feature new vocalist Alex LeBlanc and guitarist William Seghers.
