Hostility

- After searching for a new drummer to join their ranks, Hostility has finally found him. His name is Blake Ferris and he hails from Dallas, TX. Blake made a smooth transition into the band by coming in and learning their material right away and started in with helping to write material for the new record. The band is happy to have found their new brother in arms.

Hellhunter

- Hellhunter has completed their recent recordings putting 6 songs to tape, two of which will be included on a split EP with a band called Beercraft. Hellhunter will have the CD for sale soon, so check out their site to find out how you can obtain one.

Beercraft

- Speaking of Beercraft, this is a new band out of the bay area that has devoted itself to writing tunes all about beer. ‘Nuff said, you must check them out!

It's Casual split cover

- It’s Casual are releasing a split 7” with Bullet Treatment and will include two brand new tunes.

All That Remains

- All That Remains will be heading back into the studio for their follow-up to 2006’s The Fall Of Ideals. The band is heading to Audiohammer Studios in Florida to begin tracking May 1st to begin tracking with producer Jason Suecof (Black Dahlia Murder, God Forbid).

Beneath The Massacre

- Beneath The Massacre will also be heading into the studio to begin tracking their follow-up to 2007’s Mechanics of Dysfunction, which is being mixed by previously mentioned Jason Suecof.

Withered album cover

- Withered has completed work on their forthcoming album for Prosthetic Records entitled Folie Circulaire and is slated to be released in June.

BOBE funny

- Book Of Black Earth have been added to the Prosthetic Records roster. The band is wrapping up writing their debut for Prosthetic, which will be entitled Horoskopus, a concept album based on the hidden astrological elements of the Christian church. Sounds interesting to me!

Testament

- In Testament news, the band’s latest album The Formation Of Damnation has been nominated for the Best Album at Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2008. Testament will also be playing on the Metal Masters Tour, which includes Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell and Motorhead.

- Amanda Hines at Lava Booking has a bunch of shows coming up in Oakland and SF, with such bands as It’s Casual, 100 Suns, Grayceon and they will kick your ass, so go out and show some support. For details on upcoming shows, please visit Lava Booking’s website.
