Ahhh, June. The time of year where the sun is shining bright, birds are chirping, flowers are in full bloom, and weddings are happening... Oh, HORSESHIT! Fuck all that, it's time to talk about some metal (and punk!):

- Somnomballistic, Vulgarizer and Dybbuk will be featured for this installment of Wednesday night "Bleez Entertainment presents" hosted at the Central Saloon in Pioneer Square in Seattle on July 2nd. This show is the first major show in Seattle to be sponsored by Raginpit Magazine. The show starts at 9:30, so all of you Northwesterners go show some support!

- Better Left Unsaid have announced that they have parted ways with vocalist Paul Nieblas, who has been replaced by Adam Raffety (formerly of Sickle and Beyond Years) BLU failed to mention in the press release that Adam has also been the permanent lead vocalist for The Venting Machine since the beginning of this year. That's something I would have liked to have known while reading the BLU blog because it made me say, "WTF?" There has been no announcement of a departure by Raffety from TVM, so I can only assume that he will be pulling double-duty. So don't freak out, TVM fans! BLU has a tour coming up and we'd like to wish them well. Have some killer shows, guys.

- Falling To Pieces has parted ways with longtime vocalist Jason Lewis, who has decided to pursue other endeavors outside the band. Filling in for the remaining scheduled shows is Vinny Salinas, resident crazy motherfucker and co-vocalist for Pop Murder.

- STD will be appearing live with Hellcat Records artist Static Thought at the Fire Escape in Citrus Heights, CA on Sunday, June 15th. Also appearing are Riot On Rosewood, 5 Days Dirty, and The Disgusteens. The band will also be playing their annual food drive event for the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services on July 12th at Club Retro. The event coincides with STD bassist "The Stephen's" 16th birthday show, so check out Circle Of 5ths Entertainment Group at www.circleof5ths.net for details. http://www.myspace.com/stdsacramento

- Dreaming Dead are in the final stages of recording their album, and will shortly be releasing a video with footage of recording the album. Also, they have announced the addition of lead guitarist Leslie Medina, injecting another shot of estrogen into the band.

- Malevolent are heading into the studio to record a full-length (9 tracks) album with Navene Koperweis of Animosity and The Faceless at the helm. http://www.myspace.com/malevolentmetal

- Prosthetic Records will be releasing a vinyl version of Lamb Of God's debut album, New American Gospel, which includes all 10 tracks remastered, and also a bonus track "Nippon," which was only previously available on the Japanese version of the album. There will only be 1,000 copies of this limited edition LP, so you vinyl collectors better hurry! In other LoG news, they are releasing a 2-disc DVD on July 1st entitled Walk With Me In Hell, which is a documentary on the bands recording and touring of the Grammy-nominated Sacrament album. An exclusive trailer is available on their myspace page.

- Black Tide will be playing a shitload of fests this summer, including Germany's Rock Am Ring, France's Hellfest, Italy's Gods of Metal, and the UK's Download Fest. The band is touring in support of their album Light From Above, which was released in March.

- In Testament news, the new album The Formation of Damnation (which is fucking badass, by the way) debuted at #59 on the Billboard Top 200. Testament will also be filming a music video for "More Than Meets The Eye," and will be featured on Music Choice's Rock U.

- Hatebreed has recorded a live CD, which is being produced by none other than Vinnie Paul in Dallas, TX at the Palladium. The CD will also include a bonus DVD with video footage chronicling the carnage.

- Arsis has parted ways with drummer Darren Cesca, citing differences in personalities and overall direction as the reasoning behind the split. Cesca has been replaced by Alex Tomlin, and will start off with a bang on the "In Thrash We Trust" Tour, beginning early this month.
Well, that's all folks.
