Sometimes management likes to hide something from the bands. You play for ten years and still play for a case of beer and food… come on! When you get older, you got bills to pay. We can’t afford to live alone…

Opening for larger more established bands is often hard to do. I’m trying to set up a tour right now for summer and it’s a real pain in the ass to find venues that are going to pay and accommodate our schedule. I’d like to see metal get back up there again. I want to see more kids head banging at the shows, jumping in the pits…

We don’t categorize ourselves as anything, we have always let the fans speak for us. We do not aim for a specific genre except for metal on our minds. Some of our influences show through in our music. Innocence is a blend of everything this world has to offer, of course with our own secret ingredients that creates the ultimate metal cocktail.

The sounds that influence us are some of the bands I mentioned, but other factors had to do with trying to get away from all of this extreme blast beat, “let’s be the most brutal band ever” mentality. I love old school death and black metal and that is where I came from, but I am tired of trying to be the most brutal band ever… I am tired of that and wanted to get back to thrash/doom roots with Passive Aggressive.

What is important to us is having a good time. If we are having fun with what we are doing, then our music will show it. If you are trying to think too much and have other motives behind your music, you wind up not sounding like yourself.

We chose this genre of music simply because it’s the most aggressive and adrenaline pumping music in the entire world… We identify with metal because of its brutality, whether it’s progressive, black, death, or whatever, and we couldn’t imagine playing anything else.
