In fact, they have become a bit like The Rolling Stones: nobody buys the new albums, but the fans will come to every gig. As long those are good gigs nobody will complain.

The night of October 11, 2008 will not soon be forgotten. Rather, if you were one of the many in attendance that were doing their best to run the bar dry, then it will not soon be remembered.

… Loud hails and war chants came from all ends of the crowd as each of Eluveitie’s eight members made their stage entrance. The complete line-up was a sight to behold – guitars, fiddles, bagpipes and flutes alike all raised in the air as the crowd welcomed them.

… A line that that stretches for yards across, composed of both young kids discovering Exodus for the first time to those who’ve been involved in the scene for the last twenty-plus years are lined up outside of Slims, waiting to pay homage to one of San Francisco’s best thrash metal acts, Exodus.

…this six-act gig delivered a consistently power packed evening of brutality, melody, and chaos band after band.

The room was out of control when this band of bro’s finalized their set with a perfect, if not better than the original, rendition of Sepultura’s “Roots.” I can only sum things up with – it was a sight to see all those kids holding their knee caps panting and wanting more.

The strobe lights were utilized and the volume was louder than it was for the previous band. These guys seemed to be comfortable displaying their passion in front of the approximately 60 people that were now watching the show. The audience was apparently getting more into the music by this time, as there were a few people playfully nudging each other in front of the stage.

A girl in the audience got called a crusader for yelling, “Fuck you!”? at the lead singer after he went off on a tangent about how fat chicks shouldn’t expect to get laid after buying many rounds of drinks for a guy.

Every band did an excellent job during their performances and the crowd was pleased. It was quite amusing to have Mikey from 92.5 The Bear keeping us all entertained in between sets (I think he was a bit buzzed).
