Staff Wanted
Welcome to the Raginpit Magazine Staff Wanted section . We are currently an all volunteer staff, but we do not intend to stay that way .
We are seeking dedicated metal heads who share our goal of bringing Underground Metal news from around the world to our readers . We've recently launched a community site at www.rpm-bands.com to enhance our reader experience and offer a place to call home for all our metal brethren.
All of our positions require a laptop or desktop with a high speed internet connection, an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a LOVE FOR METAL. Varying positions may require other items, please see the details of each position for more information .

Writing positions:
- Media Reviews
- Bi-weekly distribution
- National and unsigned acts
- Interviews
- Available interviews listed in the RPM Staff Forum
- May be tape recorded, video taped, by email or phone
- Show Reviews
- Knowledge of your local underground a plus
- National coverage is available
- List of upcoming shows provided in the RPM Staff Forum
- Hardwired
- Knowledge of gear, equipment, and instruments
- Provide in depth reviews
- Use of techinical terms a plus
- Skills with music software
- Raginbitch
- Research candidates for Raginbitch
- Develop in-depth interview questions
- Bi-monthly assignments
Writers will need a digital camera and a recording device. Writers will also need to be able to travel to live metal events.
Editing positions:
- Sub-editor
- Strips all articles of any pre-existing formats
- Checks spelling and grammar of all articles
- Tags all articles
- Gather photos for articles as needed
- Minor formatting of articles as needed
- Video Editor
- Assembles sponsor commercials
- Edits interviews for RPM TV
- Re-broadcast special shows/live events
- Radio Editor
- Assembles sweepers and bumpers for RPM Radio and potential sponsors/customers
- Special projects i.e re-broadcast live events
- Assembles commercials for sponsors/customers
Adminstrative positions:
- Admin Assistant
- Monitor/moderate all site activity
- Manage featured songs, bands, and events
- Send out occasional site announcements
- Human Resources
- Manages staff email account forwarding staff inquiries
- Goes through all initial inquiries to determine if info is forwarded
- Responds to all staff inquiries
-Profile Manager/Internet Marketing Specialist
- Maintain profiles on various community and ning sites
- Send out recruiting announcements
- Re-direct potential staff
- Manage all bulletin announcements and blogs
Radio positions:
- DJs
- Love for independent metal
- Strong coherent voice
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Sam2 Broadcaster or Winamp Plugin Shoutcast
DSP
- Must be dependable and adhere to a schedule
- Podcasters
- half hour, one hour, or two hour time slots available
- MP3s are to be broken up into 15 minute intervals
- DJ Admin:
- Manager DJ and podcast schedule
- Maintains and upkeeps regulations with regard to DJs
- Manage request line
- Collaborate on DJ announcements
- Provides basic training of DJ control panel
- Moderates shows
- Manages RPM Radio main profile
